Version 4 of the public Beta has been released (link in summary section), go try it now! Our goal is to create an accurate and fun space combat experience from the Original Star Wars Trilogy. We have analyzed all the original space battles and, to the best of our abilities, we have attempted to capture the same combat style and overall atmosphere from the films. Just like the movies, ships have high velocities, a focus on primary weapons, and encounters are deadly and only survived by those with experience, teamwork, and some skillful use of the force... We chose to use the powerful and actively maintained Freespace 2 Open engine. It provides an engine that is easy for almost any machine to run while at the same time allowing for high quality visual effects, smart AI, and massive battles. The engine is constantly being updated and worked on, and provides very effective modding capabilities along with excellent mission and campaign creation tools.

Hi there, thanks for writing this mod. I hope this is the right place to report this issue - apologies if not and let me know where should I post. I am experiencing a crash when launching FS2 Open with the Star Wars mod enabled. I launch the game, it starts, I see the "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" letters and it immediately crashes. Stack trace is: LUA ERROR: [string "axui-sct.tbm - On Mouse Moved"]:1: attempt to index global 'AXUI' (a nil value) ------------------------------------------------------------------ Source: axui-sct.tbm - On Mouse Moved
stack traceback: ------------------------------------------------------------------ Command line is: C:\games\Freespace2\fs2_open_3_7_4_SSE2.exe -mod Star_Wars,MediaVPs_2014 -missile_lighting -3dshockwave although the crash happens regardless of the options active. The crash also happens with the other .exe versions of fs2. Install is a clean install from Steam + basic installation with FreeSpaceOpenInstaller.jar + star wars mod 4.11 As the error mentions a mouse event, I have tried to run it with no mouse inputs at all enabled in the computer (just keyboard) but the issue still happens. Let me know if I can help in anything. Thanks. |
