Star Wars Rise of Hope is a mod that will be based on the early Empire and its fall against the Rebel Alliance and its following sucessor the New Republic.
I know that I´m not in the level of {HEROIC} Doci or Jeroenimo, but Substance Painter has let me do some fairly ok textures to start.
Those 2 guys got the honor to be the test bed of this new technique of texturing.
Maybe some we´ll ask if I´ll do the same to all other ships and the answer is... not at the moment. If I would get to do this, taking in account my level of texturing right now and the amount of ships we have, would make the mod release be longer than expected.
Also, thanks to Steiner from SMG I added to all ships the engine glows which look pretty beatiful.

Not sure why you changed the GR-75. I thought the one you had posted before looked much better. This one feels way more plain/simplistic. The Gozanti also feels...busy. All the other Imperial ships look more more uniform.
Simply put, it was poly reasons.
From what I remember, Nkorn said the model was to high poly for his tastes.
It was ~90k polies to however downvoted...
Barlex and Sly are right, it was for technical reasons I had to change it.
Also, you can read this are my first attempts at texturing a ship so it wont look as good as the others. Please be mindful of what you comment.
Ah I see. Well I apologize if my comments seemed harsh. I'm not exactly all that aware of the intricacies of models and such. My bad.
Its ok, you´ll see that I did take care of what you pointed out and upgraded them ;)
Very good start for sure. If I may make a suggestion, on the next ship try to render the texture at a higher resolution, it really adds to the quality.

I also suggest to export the finished height map in 4k and then import the normal map into the normal map slot in SP, with that you will not lose much detail if you are finished with texturing and exporting it in 1k or 2k.
