Broadside-class and Strike-class image - Star Wars Rise of Hope mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Star Wars Rise of Hope is a mod that will be based on the early Empire and its fall against the Rebel Alliance and its following sucessor the New Republic.
The Strike-class medium Cruiser was a cruiser designed for the Imperial Navy during the Galactic Civil War as a general-purpose vessel capable of modular modifications to allow it to fit many mission profiles, yet cheap enough to be produced in large quantities.
The order of battle considered two Strike-class cruisers the equivalent of one Victory-class Star Destroyer.
They are armed with 2 ion turrets, 4 turbolaser cannons, 4 turbolaser turrets and 3 AA lasers.
The Broadside-class Cruiser KDB-1 was a support frigate used by the Imperial Navy during the Galactic Civil War.
The Broadside-class shared a common keel design with the Gladiator-class Star Destroyer. Designed for long-range engagements, ships of this class had light armor and unimpressive acceleration and maneuverability. Early models were armed with expensive diamond boron missiles but those were replaced by more economical concussion missiles in later models. They still have enough armament to protect them themselves with 2 turbolaser turrets and 3 laser turrets.

"Concentrating fire-power"
The textures look great on these two. The strike is an interesting looking ship that's for sure. Model looks good I've just never been a fan of the strike cruiser design. I like Fractals Kontos design more which is supposed to be a Kuat Strike cruiser. You're model and texture is about as good as one can look though.
Thanks, I´m happy with the results, as for the Strike Cruiser, I feel the same as you about the design but that´s why I like it more. It just breaks with the triangular fleet of the Empire. I knew that ship was his take on the Strike Cruiser, I like it too.
Nice job. Though I must say, fighting the Broadside was annoying in game, because they could just destroy your fighters with a few missiles.
Thanks, that´s mainly because of the fighters being cannon fodder. All rebel fighters have shields and are faster than missiles. The Broadside is meant to give support at the distance.
