A Star Wars mod for the great game "Nexus The Jupiter Incident" i intend to add ships from all eras, create great battles from star wars history and make history with some of my own and i also want to create a star wars feel to the mod.
ok iv got sick of trying to get the engines the right colour so this is my last try, as you can see there is actually 3 colours in the engines now - light blue in the middle, darker blue around the light blue and a slight green around the inner part of the engines (sides inside) but also as you can see it dosent really make much of a difference
I can see the slight difference at the left engine.
You're getting there.
yeah it changes because of the distance thats why the left one looks different to the others because its further away, anyway that was my last try because iv had enough of trying to get it right
Great work on the model. I'm not really that much of a tightwad to demand absolutely movie-accurate effects myself, but your efforts are much appreciated.
Will capital ships have engine trails or not? You have to admit, without a moving background, engine trails are an easy visual cue for us ground-bound creatures to determine a moving object's relative velocity.
thanks and yes they will have trails but they wont be very long, it looks much better having a combination of the glow and the trail because the engines can just glow when the ship is not moving but when it does start moving the trail turns on
Good. The original trilogy had next to no engine trails (with a few exceptions, such as when the Millenium Falcon turns towards a pursuing Star Destroyer in "The Empire Strikes Back") for its ships, but it's good to have that kind of visual aid in this mod.
Other SW mods (like SW Warlords for Homeworld 2) have featured huge batteries of weapons for capital ships of the SW universe that fire very often. I suppose that'll be difficult for Nexus: TJI given the hardcoded limit on weapons for ships, though. At least fighters can have more than one weapon type, though getting them to come from more than one location could be a problem (such as the 4 lasers of the famous X-Wing fighter).
old white glow was better
try a deep glowing red?.. may look a little better, OR drop the color of the destroyer dramatically into a real deep charcol gray instead of that really white ish gray
