Rebellion aims to create a realistic, multi level strategic war simulation based on the second world war, and combine it with the original trilogys feeling. You'll be managing vast parts of the Galactic Empire, and eliminate it's many adversaries, while keeping order and piece by supressing pirates and rebels, or you'll be fighting a war of attrition by leading the Alliance to Restore the Republic in a guerilla war against tyranny, spreading rebellion and hope across the galaxy.

Now this is some variety. How exactly do you make these unique?
Visually with trail particle effects and hit particles, gameplaywise with damage types (some have less/more AP, SD, % shield penetration, area damage, ion stun etc.)
The slow and badly maneuveralbe stardust missile has e.g. AP2 and 100% shield penetration in a 300 m area damage explosion, where fighters have mostly Armor 2, so it's a squadron killer, but it only does 0,01 of its damage against Armor 7 cruisers.
All this Dakka and not an Ork in sight to enjoy it all...
