Hi all, Please find below the updated version of STA3 to work with the Steam 1.85 release of Rebellion. Don't forget to re-apply Large Address Aware if you haven't already as the update will have removed the LAA check. In order to play online you may need to delete your user settings file. To do that go to C:/Users/yourname/Documents/My Games/Ironclad Games/Sins Of A Solar Empire Rebellion/Setting. Find the file called rebellion.user.setting and delete it. You'll need to change your graphics again to the desired level but online play should work for you. Enjoy. The Gul

Because they broke game with that silly update, nobody plays vanilla dammit
I used to but after playing armada for so long vanilla is far to empty for me. Me and some friends are planing on playing vanilla soon to try out the new DLC though
Now if only they'd give Ultimate Edition owners the new dlc.

I play vanilla.
The update does add a few cool thing for modders. Like the ability to give an individual ship the ability to destroy a planet. So Deathstars, Scimitars, Covenant Glassing can now exist in a non-cheaty way.
You're telling us! Gul-Dukat is technically retired and he's voluntarily scrambled, twice now, to get updates out as quickly as possible.

Hi, Sins just updated to 1.85. Is there a way to deactivate this? The mod doesn't work, anymore. :(

Hey man test a game on any map after an hour or two of gameplay, you will get crashdumps, even with LAA. I've reproduced this consistently :( Do you know if there is any fix forthcoming for this?

Hey i used steam feature to revert to 1.84 and I found that the crashing after 2 hours or so went away.. I think something is introduced in the 1.85 which is still a bit unstable.

You can go into the properties of the game on steam, go to beta, and set it back to the previous versions.
Yes. If you have the steam version of the game, go to your library, get to the properties menu for Sins, go to the betas tab, and select whichever version you want to have.
For some reason, I can't get past the loading screen. I just get "Standby," then eventually I have to exit to desktop, and get an error message. Could anyone offer some advice?

Temporarily Disable your anti-virus.
If that doesn't work rickclick and hit download unsafe content

Yeah, that's really annoying. Who reported the file host site as unsafe?? Practically all the mods I download now are marked as unsafe.
i downloaded the mod and the vanilla version still exists even after i apply the LAA. Its like the mod doesn't exist and yet it does. Any help?
If you do not have the update than the file will not work this is for 1.85 and if you place in any of the other files will not work also and make sure that the enabled mods is in as well
Everything that is the 1.85 mod folder has been unzipped and placed into the mod folder itself. LAA is complete as well but when i start up rebellion the mod isn't active
Which folder did you put it in it leaves some of the old ones there that can not be used
Sometimes you may have to hit the mod path and move the files if you don't have a folder that says Mods-Rebellion v1.85
everything that is the updated version for Armada 3 is in the v1.85 mod folder. but it still doesn't work

Isn't there just one or two files we can download if we already have the mod that way we're not downloading EVERYTHING again? At 100kb/s this **** takes me 5 hours :\

This version has a few untextured models that were textured before
You'll need to re-apply LAA due to the update changing the EXE. I know, drives me mad too!

I'm having crashes too. I've applied the large address aware correctly with admin privileges. IT's a great mod but still buggy at the moment...
is LAA on the Sins game file or the dev file? I made that mistake once before
The sins game file. I guess this is correct... I really think there is a bug that causes crash after several hours.. :(
It's crashing during the loading screen with a minidump. I don't get what's going on. The LLA is applied correctly.

i have been crashing a lot i have never had i don't want to say like crazy number maybe 4 7 crash and its odd do you know what i could do i think it s the new DLC
