This is great, but I haven't been able to load into Sector Z. No error showing, just the game says it failed to load the level.

Edit: May or may not mention other issues I run into, but no matter what I've played quite a bit of this and seen some of the later work and am in love with this. And yes, the voice acting is awesome. With that said, I haven't been able to skip the training mission, which can make replaying the Lylat campaign extremely tedious.

Edit 2: Solar is having the same issue as Sector Z. I can't progress past demo 0.6's endpoint. I know I have 0.7 because the Sauria missions and voice acting is all in game.

Having the same problem trying to play Solar. How did you get to Sector Z? Was wanting to try to reach that mission and hoping to get to Area 6 instead of Bolse.

I completed Zoness after Aquas. I don't know what stipulations can change what level you play, but I saved the city in Aquas and wasn't caught on Zoness. Still, no luck going forward in either route.

I don't know if this problem is something on my/our end or if it's a fault in the released file. Did you have ver. 0.6 installed, and did you delete it before installing 0.7? I did, but 0.7 still had my progress and options saved from when I played 0.6, somehow.

I'm not sure why the level will not load for you though I have a pretty strong idea as to why, I'm looking into it. This demo is focused particularly on the first five levels, everything after Katina is technically unpolished and incomplete.

So far, enjoying the updated demo a lot. I do wish there was a way to make the screen shake less to make looking at the screen a bit more tolerable, that's pretty much my one critique. I am also having trouble getting to play the Solar mission. It keeps saying it failed to load for some reason.

Failed to save any Cornerian fighter pilots in Sector X, not a critique, just something I failed at and wish I could've saved them. RIP. They didn't stand a chance against the AI fighters.

Im not sure if this is ideal as ive never used a joystick before but could someone help me set it up so i can use it for the game? The stuck inverted mouse controls were too much for me. Any help would be sincerelt appreciated. Thank you 😊

It seems like many controllers have incompatibility issues with the moddb version of the game, at the moment I would recommend downloading and using the Knossos version of the game as it seems to work fine with every controller.

The knossos version works with the joystick and im rather enjoying it but ive ran into a couple of errors on mission 3. First is the weapon index 'AllowedInCampaign'not being found and the second is not being able to load in 2_CommandBrief-mb, resulting in me not being able to progress the campaign beyond that point as i cant press continue on the briefing screen. Any possible solutions or recommendations? I know this might not be the right place so i apologise. Updating it rn so hopefully should be fixed.

Update: the update fixed the briefing issue so campaign progress has resumed atleast.

I just downloaded the game and my HUD in-game is way too big. Is there any way to decrease the size?

You probably need to mess with the resolution settings in the Launcher. In the Basic Settings tab there is a section called Video with a Resolution setting. I recommend 1920 x 1080.

I have to tell this.
I stumbled about this mod very often here and there, long ago when it was announced and back then it just seemed like a dream that would probably vanish into the deepness of these countless canceled "Total Conversion" Mods after a few years, because developing such a thing from the ground up is just crazy.
Since then i´ve seen a few videos about it, and downloaded the mod a few times, but never actually touched it.
Today i gave it a try with your newest update here, and i have to say:
THIS IS AMAZING!
Literately, i´m feeling like the kid playing SF64 on the N64 back then. How the hell did you guys pull this off?
From the Controls, the Music, the Atmosphere, the Comm Channels, my god it all feels like a Re-imaging of one of my favorite Games of all time.
And all of that for free! :)
Thank you so much for that. I love you, guys.

However, i have some feedbacks after playing the Tutorial and the first mission:

- I guess it´s a limitation of FreeSpace 2 that the Main Menu will never be controllable via Controller? Still have to ask if it´s possible at some point.

- The Sound Mixing feels very odd. I tried to play around via the ingame Sliders with Music, Effects and Voices, but whatever i did, the Voices still are way too quiet, and the SFX is always too loud. Even in cut-scenes i can hear Fox´s Arwing.
I have to try to play around with the sliders a little more, but maybe you already noticed it.

- Will it be possible to control the Break/Speed via Controller´s Trigger Buttons?

Edit: These N64 Sound Effects when you shoot an enemy always felt so satisfying, so thanks for including them too.

- I've not focused on controllers much yet, so I can't say anything final about that.

- You are absolutely right about how Freespace mixes sounds channels. The default volume for voices has to be insanely high compared to music and sound effects and they still just seems off.

- The controls can be remapped in the options menu so I think so.
