Fixes a few nasty bugs that slipped through into 0.6.
INSTALLATION
Extract the Data folder from Star Fox Event Horizon.zip. Paste it over the data folder where you previously extracted Event Horizon. Allow it to overwrite all files.
The Landmaster weapon bug fix will only take effect if you restart your campaign. I apologize for this.
FIXES
- Fixed a bug that prevented any weapons from appearing on the Landmaster. Will only take effect if you restart your campaign.
- Fixed a bug that always caused Sector X to crash at the briefing screen.
- Fixed a bug that occasionally would cause Meteo and Fichina levels to crash at the briefing screen.
- Small Asteroids on Meteo level are no longer invisible.
- Small debris effects from destroyed enemies are no longer invisible.
- Fixed a bug that would cause Zoness atmosphere to appear as blue instead of green.
- Nova Bombs and Aquan Torpedos should now be able to be equipped.
- Removed Hyper Turret from top of Harlock Frigates.
- Added regenerating shields to all player craft.
- Enemies now flash red when hit by player projectiles.
- Wingmen Beam weapons should now do no damage to player if they accidentally hit.
Just got to Macbeth and saw the Landmaster glitch.
Oh boy, restarting and going through that painful Corneria city level again XD
Also, thanks for that beam weapon correction. Sometimes my wingmates go nuts and start aiming at my fighter for no reason
Hopefully the Corneria level is a bit easier with some of the fixes.
It's a lot easier indeed.
However, Meteo feels almost impossible now.
Pepper's ship is at 100% and all of a sudden it drops down to less than 50%.
The Meteo Crusher takes a while to destroy, so there's no time to take it out before the General is dead.
I had the same issue with the first version.
It didn't happen before this hotfix, though.
Edit: Finally figured it out. Those small purple fighters start causing a ton of damage on Pepper's ship right after the asteroids with engines appear. Their guns cause a lot of damage all of a sudden (they don't cause as much before the cutscene for some reason)
Their Plasma weapon is doing more damage than it should.
Okay, So this is a simple post-review over what i've played so far, first off, this whole mod is Amazing to look at to say the least, everything felt grand in scale, like an actual galactic war & having numerous flavor text chiming in and out made it all the more immersive, especially how you've extented the vanilla levels to have more context & goings on so it's not entirely a one to one recreation, also the boss encounters were climatic as ever, at first I thought I had to wait for an opening, but thankfully they all mostly operated on the 'Shoot it till it dies' philosophy, which I can say I'm happy for.
There were though, issues during my time, the first being how easy it can be to die or loss 3/4 of your health in no time flat, sometimes the enemy can be smooth & manageable, othertimes there is no mercy from the get go and kill you in seconds, possibly cause they all just decide to focus all their time & attention on me, plus, and I believe that it's just apart of the 'FreeSpace 2' build, but by god do I yearn for checkpoints here, dying near the end of the level from stray hits or from running out of time, and then having replay the level from scratch is a major motivation killer (I'm looking at you Meteo & Zoness), I say this as someone who has bit the dust many times over.
The weapon variety was all manners of fun, interesting how the Hyper lasers are actually separate weapons from the standard lasers, But I must talk about the 'Beam Cannon', mainly because, on my first play of Meteo, I had no idea that I needed it for the boss to proceed, but after equipping it, I practically Melted 'EVERYTHING' in my way, no boss was safe from my Kamehameha Laser...potentially overpowered, perhaps?
I wasn't able to play everything though, I was able to go through Aquas & Zoness fine (Dual Beam Lasers = Flawless Victory!), while my first Landmaster level on Macbeth, my weapon screen said 'None', so I was unable to fire anything, I did in-fact go into the weapon selection screen before so, so I'm not sure if that made it glitch out from error or something
You have to download the 0.6 version and then copy the data folder from the 0.6.2 hotfix to the game's folder to fix the Landmaster glitch.
About the dual lasers, it's already strong enough with one XD, but yeah, lasers are OP.
Meteo and Zoness are a bit of a pain if you rush while the bulk of your forces are still far behind. Even on very easy you'll be wiped out by mobs (especially Zoness with those burst missiles detonating near you).
Checkpoints would be a really nice addittion indeed, but the sudden 3/4 of damage taken feels like an issued the orginal Freespace 2 already suffered from (can't say for sure because I only watched some people playing it on YouTube and they had some trouble every now and then).
How exactly do you do that? Am I supposed to take the files from HotFix 0.6.2 and paste them overtop the files in 0.6 that have the same name? Also do you know if this game supports a traditional controller setup? I was hoping to play this game like I did Star Fox 64 and Assault (with a controller in my hands).

The Venom Space Fighters melt General Peppers ship in seconds
Yeah this is a bug.
How are you meant to fight Invaders and other aircraft on Fortuna when you can't even aim up to lock on to them in the Landmaster?
Switch your primary weapon to the Anti Air flak cannons.
I am unable to customize the flight hud as everything is hidden, also crosshairs for me seem to be off and weapons fire between the 2nd and 3rd rather than just the smallest. Chances are this is due to my error but im wondering if there is a possible solution.
Does this game have controller/gamepad support? I'm trying to get this fan game up and running but can't get my PC Controller (a wireless X Box contoller) to work with the game. Does Star Fox Event Horizon have options to play with something other than Keyboard and Mouse (yeah, yeah, call me a casual gamer I don't care)? I just want to play this game with a controller like I did every other Star Fox game out there (SF Command doesn't count).
The previous version did work with controller in game- not in menus, but it doesn't seem to work with this new version, so I am waiting for a fix before playing this version... I definitely wouldn't play a StarFox game with kb+m either 😅🦊..
What do you mean the previous version worked with a controller? I tried to boot up the 2020 build and that one doesn't work with a controller either. I checked and it wouldn't respond to any of my inputs from my XBox gamepad.
Guys, I don't understand anything about computers, how do I play Star FoEH?

Hello, I recently downloaded the latest version of the game as well as the latest patch, followed all the necessary steps. When I open the game however, only parts of each screen will load, but no text is visible. Any attempt to play the game leads to a blank screen but with functional audio. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
Maybe try lowering the graphical fidelity to see if its a graphics error. I have not been able to replicate that bug...
My thanks friend, I'll give that a try!
