Return to the Zone in S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Wormwood, a high-difficulty survival-oriented realism modification for GSC Game World’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat. Wormwood builds upon the core Stalker experience, enriching the latest in the cult game series with brand new survival mechanics, intense and realistic gunplay, new missions, levels, fleshed-out building interiors and much, much more.
Something a little different today! If this works properly, the image should look relatively 3D! You'll need to click 'Show Original' to see the effect.
As I was trying to take a screenshot I ended up getting two in slightly different positions, and my usual flicking between them to compare them caused a nifty 3D effect. Let me know if it works for you!
I like it. Maybe you could do even 3 of those!
Three images? I don't know if that would have the same effect, but it's a cool idea!
If you use 3 frames, maybe at a faster frame rate then it might just look even better... worth a try.
It does work! It's fairly surprising actually, I wonder if there exists a program where you could stitch them into one "true" 3d image.
There are programs like these. They capture video / screenshots at set intervals and allow you to (after the capture) use your keyboard and or mouse to rotate them in 360 degrees. Much like the iframe 3D injectors for pages like gamebanana do.
Do you guys know when the mod will be released? Progress over there seems like it is going well.
No ETA yet, sorry. We're limited by modellers right now, so if you know any, that would speed us up!
LOL.. it tickles!
Can't wait for Oculus to release to the major public and Stalker gets some fan support :) I know some people already got some support via third part drivers.
There's some video's linked at GSC that show SOC and COP running on the Occulus, I can't wait for the official release so I can try it.
Got a link? I'd love to try my DK2 with it.
For a second a thought it was a bloody controller screwing up my mind :p
This is called wiggle stereoscopy, by the way.
The inside of the train seems way too dark, as the ambient light from outside should be pouring through the windows.
Thanks for the info!
Unfortunately, STALKER has no ambient occlusion, so yeah, the lighting is never correct. It's still pretty most of the time though!
