The envisionment of SIN is to bring you what was promised by GSC for STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, instead of the gutted retail release we were left with. SIN aims to cover every aspect imaginable from gameplay intended to genuinely scare the player, to graphics for the absolute best visual experience, cut mutants, absolute realism, optimisations, stability, and a complete game mechanics overhaul, all without breaking the story. The idea is to present the player with a complete retail experience for the purist that liked SoC but wished it was far more fleshed out. In no way what so ever does SIN try to be like old beta or alpha builds of SoC, SIN aims to enhance everything SoC already has and give it continuity with CS and CoP - nothing more, nothing less.
Consider this a teaser :p
He is a crafty little bugger.
I heard a story once: One Stalker jokingly asked Nimble if he could get a nuke. Nimbles answer was: "How do you mean to pay it?"
Believe what you may but it is more than a simple story.
Well, considering Wolfhound is such a useless character in SoC even though he was supposed to be a pretty major one it seems I thought it would be nice to bring Wolfhounds March from CoP into SoC, if nothing else to tie the story together a little better.
Though in my opinion you should drop the 'pistol' part and leave it as March.
An idea for another unique weapon as well. The Vintorez of the Merc. Better accuracy, a bit less bullet drop and slower degradation.
*A custom built variant, rumoured to have belonged to the mercenary involved in the events leading up the last major blowout.*
Perhaps, Scar only uses a regular Vintar though AFAIK theres nothing special about it. Thats not to say its not a good idea, I'm just trying to tie the story together a little in TK so the other games make a bit more sense.
While in CS the rifle he picks up from where he dropped his when the surge hit is indeed the standard stock variant, who is to say that some random shmuck with a regular one did not pass by and made a switcheroo.
True, or maybe the blowout gave the Vintar some knarly ability.. I'll have to have a think.
Originally made by the weapon-smith of SIN, it is one of the few ever seen in the hands of an outsider.
Sounds decent enough. I'll have to see how I can make Nimble a trader, theres a cheat way I can do it but he wouldn't be a proper trader that way.
The guy, who did an overhaul of Priboi Story did something like that, goes by the name of 100RadsBar at GSC.
Another thing about the Vintar, I think that it should have a unique icon noting its special nature instead of the regular green arrow, something akin to what the Sin weapons had in NEWSA.
I'll bare that in mind. Thinking about it, I don't think I'll turn Nimble into a "full time" trader as SoC is the halfway point he hadn't established himself as a trader at that point but getting started, so the cheat way of making a make-shift trader is likely going to be the most appropriate way to go about things in Nimbles case.
