S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - PreSky is a Total Conversion mod for Clear Sky, set before the events in Clear Sky begin. Its goal is to provide a fresh new game experience from the point of a regular Stalker within the Zone. This basically means that the mod has complete and total freeplay from the start. PreSky combines some of the best elements and ideas from all 3 games in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series to produce a brand new gameplay experience within the Zone, with the sole intention of creating a more realistic Stalker experience that aims to make the player believe they are a Stalker. There is no main storyline progression to unlock new areas, or new items for the player. The Zone goes on living regardless of the actions of the player, with a virtually unrestricted alife that makes the Zone seem even more alive and real than it did before. The only storyline is the one you create for yourself.

No A-life yet? Between the dx-8 next door and this is there a lot of work between them?

No, there isn't any alife yet. ATM, I don't have the time to spend placing various alife elements and debugging them for another week or so because of RL. After that, well, I should have the time to start placing spawns and npc's around.
So a couple of weeks is how long it should be before I have a decent image of npc's doing - something to show.
And there is a lot of work to do. Still a lot of textures to get in place, and a few graphic glitches to fix up, not to mention getting alife and doors in the correct places, along with everything else. If I can successfully convert the SoC spawn file into the SDK, then it will go much quicker - the only things I'll need to do is fix up smart terrains and the jobs for them for alife to use.

They might be detail textures, or they could be SUPER SECRET PASSAGES TO THE UNDERWORLD!

Ya know, I do have have several levels from a map pack that I could use to make an underworld, or a cave network. Only problem is, finding a good entrance for them in the current levels.
Maybe I could put that hole in the ground in Agroprom where you used to enter the underground to good use. Good excuse to add another level or two. That could bring the level count up to 15 if I implement all planned levels... That's 8 current, plus 6 new, plus 1 level replacement... Including 3 underground.

Gonna need more screenshots.

Yep. Or I'm going to be doing it all by myself. I'll have the SDK to help me, so stuff should go quicker with it. And that's if I decide to port all 7 levels that I'm considering to Clear Sky. ATM, only 3 are confirmed.

Medium graphics quality.
WIP.
Now I need to apologize to my computer for making it run Clear Sky in DX10 @1024x768 and Medium quality.
The blue patches are a couple of textures only used in DX9&10, so don't pay much attention to them. They'll either be added in or removed at a later date, since they're just detail textures.
