This mod is the current version of the original Oblivion Lost series, developed by Kanyhalos & OLP Team. The purpose of this mod is to get closer to the old Oblivion Lost which was planned by GSC back in the days, and give the best immersion possible, while implementing the best mod features: Total Freeplay, Improved A-Life, New Levels, Extended Main Storyline and Reality Enhancement. This mod works properly only with 1.0005 patch and it was tested only with that patch! You need to start a new game with no additional mods installed! Savegames from earlier mod versions are not compatible!

Description

This is an optional addon for Oblivion Lost 3.1, which adds Artifact Activation, 43 new repeatable side-quests for the new levels, and a new transmutated artifact which can be obtained through a long unique quest. No need to start new game, and it's 100% compatible with the Graphical Addon by any order of installation. Read the guide pdf which explains how to properly and safely use the Artifact Activation!

The graphic addon is decent enough I guess; the vanilla guns don't bother me much, only some of their unfinished animations. Wish there was a mod that didn't change the vanilla look or feel, but fixed the clumsy or cut animations

It was so great to be able to test this for you! I really recommend everyone downloads this as it adds some amazing content that Kanyhalos put a LOT of hard work into.

The quests are both fun and challenging and help spice things up when the vanilla quests get old, which happens to me quite quickly.

Artifact activation is a also a great addition and you have got to love that animation.

The unique quest for the Enchanted Tear is well worth the effort.

Anyway, thank you Kanyhalos for letting me help you test it! it was a lot of fun and I hope everyone else has fun with it as well.

It's nice to see updates to this, it was the second mod I played after complete, OL 2.3 or 2.2, 4-5 years ago, and back then having new items and weapons was enough to excite me. I've only played 3.1 up to yantar at the moment, but judging by the map I guess you used the cut-out story parts like in RMA / old storyline restoration mod, where you get captured in dead city and go to the generators in the end, only part I see missing is the darkscape helicopter chase. Do you plan on adding more stuff in the future?

No I didn't use old story restoration mod. I didn't even know it exists. I extended the story myself with new unique quests. At the moment no future updates are planned.

Ah, ok that will be great to see :). I recommend playing that mod for people who are looking for cut out content, it's 100% vanilla with the last story related things that were cut prior to release, which are darkscape, dead city, the swamps and generators, all with the minor differences here and there, main quests leading you to the new maps and side quests that were scraped in the final version. In that sense, it's similar to oblivion lost.

any idea how to find the key fragment in dead city. there are no map markers, hints, or npc's that seem to offer any help finding the part of a key fragment. thx... [

What do you mean by "artifact activation"? Is it not enough to attach an artifact to your belt to activate it?

Also, I see that in this mod it's possible to take an artifact in hans... what is that useful for?
