Simply put this is an easy to install mod collection for STALKER CoP. The list of installed mods and more info in summary.
As you can see there are ALOT of changes on the Auto Configure Software including a new tab system for the different options!
Are they coded in!?
Who knows! I don't think so! ;)
The currently selected preset is impossible and in-case you couldn't tell it's a little... Unforgiving.
The trick for impossible if you didn't get it from the message is that the player will need a Mutant or another Human to kill someone, as you have zero means of doing damage, no knife, nothing. From there you can loot their weapon, but be careful because if the same thing that killed him goes for you, you could quickly be in trouble! I've not seen such a setting for other mods so I think it's a little refreshing and unique for a start.
In case anyone is wondering the reason why I am making outside software for adjusting graphics... It's because STALKER is a little untrustworthy. Sure it works but not all the time, for example everytime it starts a new game it will force the brightness settings to reset, tisk, tisk. Also when launching for the first time and then changing all the graphics settings at once can cause the game to crash for no apparent reason. Also, some people have had issues with STALKER not keeping their chosen settings, this software will or hopefully should remove such issues. It will edit the file responsible for the Graphical settings and set it to read-only for the player. Both so they don't have too either through editing the file or through the game UI.
System, on the other hand, will handle multiple backend operations for the game, including A-Life distances and Objects_per_update as well as any other little things I can find and research on. Of course, these options, because they are more sensitive, will have tool-tips or info relating to them.
Hope you enjoy when I get to release it.
Also, I am in the process of hopefully making it so the traders can sell things like the flashlight and binoculars and knife. But for now, if you choose a high difficulty you'll suffer the consequences. Otherwise, I'd add the Flashlight to the Impossible difficulty at least for now.
