Squad Level Tactics is a mission for Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising that focuses primarily on the players ability to command a squad of AI soldiers through a gauntlet of hostile PLA forces in an attempt to complete a series of dynamic mission objectives. This mission offers a completely dynamic tactical gaming experience. With random weather, time of day, infantry and vehicle spawning, objective placement and the complete use of the island of Skirinka in addition to the entire island of Skira, anyone will be able to play this mission with virtually unlimited outcomes.

In a strange twist of events, Coheed_IV from the DR forums has inspired me to fix up a few items in SLT v171 and re-release it. Since it was Coheed who inspired these events, I decided to dedicate this version to him and call it SLT v171 Coheed Edition.

This release is a return to the roots of SLT. It features up to four player coop play (tested with 2 on lan), The flag based camp spawn system from the original v171 campaign and some tweaks to the range finding system that make for the best SLT ever. The mission has been separated into single missions as startup positions and as such must be loaded from the single mission menu. All US camp locations are available in each mission providing the player with 21 possible locations to rearm, reorganize and ready up for some intense spec ops action.

Here's a quick rundown of the possible mission objectives.
1. Clear as many PLA locations as you can. There are over 100 of them scattered across the map. Each cleared location will reward you with a random artillery or airstrike.
2. Search the locations for PLA intel which will reveal itself as a small crate or a box hovering about a meter off of the ground. After enough intel, you will be given your distance to han, then zheng. You will also be awarded a random artillery or airstrike with each intel item recovered.
3. Kill location commanders. As you assault the locations you will cross PLA commanders. Take them out to demoralize the PLA troops in the area.
4. Kill General Han and Zheng. When you have the opportunity, you must use it to eliminate the Generals. If they spot you, they will try to make a quick getaway, so try to take them out before they can see you comming.
5. Destroy the PLA anti aircraft artillery. Since they are mobile, they can be quite elusive, but don't get caught in their line of fire or your journey will come to an abrupt end.
6. Disable the PLA icbm capability by destroying their sunburn missiles.
7. You may possibly encounter US soldiers being held captive by the PLA. You must return them to the command bunker found at any one of the US encampments to successfully rescue them. They will follow you wherever you go until that time. Do your best to keep them alive and bring em home unharmed.

As has been since the beginning, do not use UAI 2011 with these missions as the detection code destroys the stealth portion of the gameplay. I may or maynot release an SLT specific version... we'll see. Until then, you can enable the internal uai code via the config file after the first run.
