SMOD is a single player mod of Valve's first-person shooter Half-Life 2. The new content consists of many new NPCs and weapons, new gamemodes, comprehensive customization and tweaking options, new abilities for the player, and new features to the gameplay, such as level randomization and simple branching in the otherwise linear flow of the main episodes.

By Onemanshow. For those tired of having to install fixes on-top of SMOD. This is a full install of SMOD 40a with all the needed fixes already included and installed to make it work after the changes Valve made to Half-Life 2 after the May 26th update in 2010 (its larger because it has the pre-updated maps, feel free to use them with other broken mods but you will need to fix gameinfo.txt of every mod yourself using the guide on steam forums).

nope...it's just a weapons mod and some fancy map-add feature where you can convert mp maps to sp maps like the ones of css sci fi smod mod.

i restarted steam and do not work. REALLY BAD!!!!!!
Guys, could someone tell me what's wrong? I start the mod, I see the main menu, I press 'New game' and the game just leave me in the main menu instead of loading even something. What is it possibly?

Put that in smod/bin. It also has my byte patched infinite ammo, so if you don't want that, well tough ****.
There also seems to be a problem with it not loading the maps and models from the steampiped Half-Life 2, despite it saying it would. I only see the maps/models in game from the mod itself, not the maps from Half-Life 2. Even if I copy over the maps to the directory, I get random shaders/textures missing. The sun is just a giant purple and black flickering checkerboard pattern.
Also, the ZIP directory is ****. Why have a readme inside a folder inside a ZIP? Have the mod folder and the readme in the zip. You have obviously never deployed anything for client consumption before.

It doesn't have my infinite ammo on it, since I had to start from scratch. The sun glitch was caused by not using 40a.

Guys, what should I download from this mod page? I'd like to play this mod, but I can't figure out what exactly I need to get.
I think it's this one, not exactly sure, I'm asking myself the same thing right now
So if I don't have any other versions of this mod installed, can I just install this? Will it work?
Will this work with 'HL2 Update'?
And well, saying "This installs just like normal SMOD" it's not the best installation guide I've ever read, sure, xD
I don't know where to put the folder once it's downloaded.
I already put it in sourcemods but that didn't work and even tried putting it in Half Life 2. Anyone know how to fix this?
