“What would happen if we applied Earth 2150 to Homeworld?” -- Slipstream: The Price of Freedom is just that. Or, at least, was supposed to be just that. What started as a multiplayer combat simulator, ended as the first entry into the Slipstream universe.

This is actually really good, I always wondered why all the ships coming randomly from every direction in Star Trek, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and so on all happened to be up the same way whenever they so happened to meet.

This physics set emulates actual physics more closely, although for aesthetics the ships should return to the same orientation when there's no dipping and diving going on :-P

Well one thing is that you can orient based on the plane on which our galaxy sits. Or just whatever suts you.

That may be a good idea, it sure will add a lot of strategic depth

Well, I always put it as being aligned to the plane of the solar system it is in, when in the void its the galactic plane.

That's always kind of bothered me too. It'll be interesting how it works in the game though.
