I think you're doing an awesome job with this mod, but you know I really wish sometimes you would team up with the guys at internegrum.

The man behind Interregnum, GoaFan, is someone whom I both hold in great respect and have indeed been working with on a number of mutually beneficial tasks. In fact, this new texture is usable in Sins entirely due to his work on it. However, Interregnum and SoGE have very different design focuses; the former is a huge enhancement of vanilla Sins with Star Wars tossed in the mix while SoGE is a dedicated Star Wars total conversion.

Will the New Era factions be included in the next version or is this a completly different project?

The KotOR/TOR project will be cross compatible with SoGE proper (ex. you can play CIS vs. Sith Empire), but it will be a separate download/folder that will be placed above SoGE in your enabled mods list, like the squad redux addon.

Currently this project is in an alpha state, so it will likely not be released alongside the next SoGE release.

Good, thanks for the answer. I'm really eager to see what's coming in both projects. :)

@Lavo so what i got from your post about the new Factions is that the Sith and the old republic wont be Released on the next update together in the same update? i don't know if i have an issue with one of your addons about the fighter update which if i remember right i did cause it made my framerate go to hell along with the AI Spamming so many ships that its hard for my current pc to balance this out and seems to me that the fighter addon that was incorporated with SOGE doesn't seem to fix the lag issue that i have. so your saying its Seperate update for both of them but able to play both sides in SOGE?

Also last thing about the SOGE update when will you expect to have a pre alpha testing of the old republic/sith factions ? i'm sure many of us wouldn't mind having the ships/factions early with Vanilla base Sins UI till the update comes out Like what was that mod oh yea Sins of the prophets does this and that one is a halo conversion mod like SOGE is for starwars but i'd rather the old republic/Sith be incorporated with the next update or later updates instead of a "side Addon" that is likely to not work for some people also i do have LAA Active but it still doesn't "reduce" fighters even with the addon that was with it both active to any way would like to hear more about the Sith/republic update.

Description

So the last update was nearly a year ago. Time flies when you're bogged down by RL, as I have been for the past year. That said, SoGE is not dead nor has work on it stalled, even if it isn't going at lightspeed. Besides the various new ship models and textures, and Rebel rehaul, that have all been previously posted, some other work has been done as well. First and foremost, the AI tweaks are finally balanced out to not be absolutely horrifying; the SoGE-only income buffs now only last for the early part of the game, to ensure the AI expands. CIS is still brutal as they play perfectly to the AI's strengths, but I'm working on them. The New Republic now has it's own tech tree, a middle of the road tree with no particular strengths or weaknesses. Also, all ships/structures in the next update will have proper specular maps, save some fighters, ensuring that everything is shiny as it should be. The new Venator, VSD, and Acclamator models plus the new ISD skins will be included as well.

Also, here's the new Coruscant/Ecumenopolis texture! Original textures by Burntstrobe, pieced together by GoaFan, and a slight pole tweak by myself, and this thing looks stunning.
