You should add in a lightmesh for the providence's hangar, similar to the tec starbase. it's kind of bland/meh looking with just a blue textured outline. I don't know what kind of effect it'll have on framerate though.

Adding in a hangar shield particle ala SW:BF2 might have a negative performance impact as, unlike the TEC star base, the Providences are built in very large numbers. This also assumes we can even make such a particle, which is hard when we have no particle artists at all.

Why venator so... small?

Must be the angle since both ships shared more or less the same dimensions. I also don't think this is the large version of the Providence with a length of 2000m since it only was longer.

Greetings

Depending on the Providence that may well be the proper scale as well, after all the Venator has a length of 1,137 meters, while the providence has two versions, one at 1088 meters, and the other at 2,177.35 meters. the second version is the ship boarded at the beginning of Ep. III, I think.

It's the angle; the Providence is closer to the camera.

No need to feel foolish, turns out the Providence is slightly too large for some reason, and as a result Areneth's picked up on a visual bug that has escaped peoples' eye for months. Thus it isn't just the angle, even if that has a big effect. Needless to say I've fixed said bug, and kudos to Areneth for finding it!

i never play cis personally, so the only times i've seen those things ingame was when blowing 'em up, they never lasted long enough to get a good look at them really.

Haha. The other day I faced several Malevolence with my fleet, the twin ships were disabled and destroyed quicker than they could get their guns to bear. It was awesome. A fleet of 97 ships, 70 of them Star Destroyers and the one Executor class made short work of any fleet jumping into my star system. Thank you Immobilizers and Ion Cannons
