Silent Hill: Respite mod for Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Hey guys, it's me again. I get that there's a mixed reception of the mod but that's okay. I expected that from the start. Development of this mod for the expansion wasn't exactly smooth sailing and I was only able to use the skill that I knew to make this work. I get that this mod isn't for everybody and that's okay. This wasn't made for casual horror fans, so this requires you to keep an open mind and to really pay attention to your surroundings. I have made a video explaining the story in full in the most organic way I could. I'm not abandoning this mod, I'm just going to take a break. This mod brought up more trouble than I could ever imagine and it was never my intention. I just wanted this mod to be a way for people to move on from Silent Hill. Anyway, take care everyone.

The mod should be available again some time this week while an admin checks it.

Today's the day everybody! Silent Hill Respite is getting a Full Release today as a complete custom story. Mod length is about 1 hour if you like reading. Short but sweet. Just one map packed with detail and my own style for Old Silent Hill in Amnesia. Unlike before when you were just inside of the Cafe 5to2, now you can explore the town area. Most of the buildings have been upgraded from their original detail along with some very familiar places. I hope you all have fun!

Full Release has been pushed to Wednesday. Had a pretty busy week and little time to finish this. The rest of the voice-line features will be released a patch since it's out of my hands but development is reaching it's conclusion. I hope you all will enjoy this newfound experience :)

Final Update Before Release: I'm finally seeing the end of the road now. The major expansion for this mod: 'Waiting For You' is almost complete. I know I keep saying that and it's basically a trend for this page but I mean it this time. This mod should be fully completed by the end of this month. I'm importing some new voice lines and editing and revising the story. Everything is looking great and the update will be packed with an ample supply of content for just one map. I went over this map several times and made many changes to make it look like how you all will see it once it's released. The update will include:

+ 5 new built-in locations with their own stories to tell and purpose in the narrative.

+ A completely reimagined custom-made version of Old Silent Hill from Silent Hill 1 including some recognizable locations and some that are new.

+ Strong emphasis of visual storytelling, observing your surroundings could lead to hidden secrets ;)

+ Voice acting implemented for story notes that can be picked up and read allowed to the player, may get patches.

+ Fixed several texture, collision issues, revamped lighting and fog. Changed ambient music completely to fit in a realistic setting, music will be playing at certain locations in the map.

+ Implementing modified covers for music for Youtuber/Twitch streamers to avoid copyright, Will be an optional feature.

- Pre-Release Update

'Silent Hill Respite: Classic' will receive a patch to fix missing assets issue and to change the ambient music. Patch will be uploaded before 'Silent Hill Respite: Waiting For You' is released.

Mod Update should be releasing some time this month. Mod is currently in beta testing stage and mod is in clean-up mode and last finishing touches are being added.
