For the map shown here, did you take it from HL Alpha leak, decompile it, edit/add NPCs, and compile it again?

No. My maps were made from just referencing the alpha maps while playing through it. Decompiling the maps is not even worth the effort since they can't be recompiled, and they even cause major lag in jackhammer thanks to the decompiling process.

This place is just stellar, will you update the shotgun model and texture as well?

The textures are old and lasted well a long time. I could definitely update the textures to be a bit more up to to par with todays quality. That's a good idea. Thanks for mentioning that! It would have never gotten updated if you never said anything haha

Maybe you can make the Shotgun to point at the beta middle instead of retail right

Description

When I get burnt out working on earlier chapters, I jump to later chapters so I can work on something with different geometry.

I always thought these levels were really cool. these rooms use such abstract designs compared to the rest of Black Mesa.
