As you might expect, this project is dead...
Sorry for the false hope I gave you in April, the mod will never be released. For many months the project has been rotting and it cannot continue this way.
It was a constructive experience for me and I learnt a lot about modding. This project was also the
opportunity to meet awesome artists like Skworus (aka Skvor) and Romainoir, who is now one of my best buddies in the community. They need support in their personal work too!
I really wish I could have finished this project. I understand and accept your disappointment and I am not expecting forgiveness: I’m a deceiver in a way. But I encourage you to follow the coming game Bushido: Legend of the Samurai, they are doing great and they need your support!
PS: I stop modding but I will stay active in the community as a bannermaker.

still alive? or is another good mod dying
I do not wish to belittle or diminish your efforts but would it not make more sense for your team to merge with another that is already creating/created a Japan mod. As they all need working on and the teams could be consolidated to make the work load a lot easier and finish the bugs/features a lot sooner.

Again I do not wish to sound rude but applying your time to the most developed one to make it even better I personally think would be the best idea. For instance there are 11 Roman mods, 6 LoTR mods, 5 Game of thrones mods, 4-6? mods Europe around 1200AD.
A lot of them never get completed because of the amount of work that has to be done and I believe it would be more prudent to collaborate with each other rather than spread your combined talents thinly.
There are also these mods that I didn't look at fully but look to be either Japan Asia or china (and yes I know there is a world of difference between those)

Its surprising to me that no one has ever created/released a Feudal Japanese mod.
