RPG-X is a modification for the game Star Trek Voyager Elite Force Holomatch. The idea behind the mod is to allow Star Trek fans to step into the Star Trek universe and interact with other people in that setting. Using RPG-X, people can step onto a starship and act out stories in a similar style to the Star Trek TV series. In the RPG-X universe, you are a member of a crew on a starship, and only your imagination is the limit.

We are very happy to announce the release of the RPG-X Complete Edition.

The RPG-X role playing group The Last Outpost has worked hard the last few months to arrange an agreement with Raven Software, Paramount, and CBS which would allow you to enjoy RPG-X without having to search for a copy of Star Trek - Voyager: Elite Force to buy which are really rare and often very expensive nowadays. They finally succeeded in this task and now released the RPG-X Complete Edition.

So what is the RPG-X Complete Edition?

The RPG-X Complete Edition includes all files needed to be able to play RPG-X without owning Star Trek - Voyager: Elite Force. And the best thing is that compared to other available (I won't mention them any further) are free and absolutely legal.
The RPG-X Complete Edition comes as an installer which includes the needed game data, the ioCow Engine, and RPG-X 2.1. So you can get playing directly after you installed it.

In addition to this you also can use the other available engines ioEF and rpgxEF once you installed the RPG-X Complete Addition. Using the rpgxEF engine with the RPG-X Complete Edition will also allow you to use the latest RPG-X 2.2 beta releases which are widely used in the community.

Hey,

I'm Veritas, developer of RPGXCE and one of the founding members of The Last Outpost - the answer is yes, lots of people play RPG-X on our servers! We have daily RPs and RPs unscheduled that occur whenever people are on, along with frequent serial roleplays (episodic adventures that occur each week) and events, all open to the public. I invite everyone to try RPGXCE and take a look!

We do have plans to incorporate rpgxEF into RPGXCE in the future; a first patch for RPGXCE is due out this weekend, and we'd tentatively like to have an rpgxEF version ready by late May/early June. More news will come as updates progress!

There are groups that do serial role plays as well as people doing random role plays ...
Most people use rpgxEF combined with the beta which is not yet included in the installer yet but the guys from TLO are working on including it into the installer as well.

Meanwhile rpgxEF and the latest beta are available at Rpgxef.hennecke-online.net.

Awesome guys, this is really great! I'm glad that there are still people out there that are dedicated to modding this game, I'm loving all the maps out so far. Any word on Freelance's release? I'm also curious if anyone ever tried to tackle a DS9 mod (the station itself).
