Rome at War is a total conversion modification for Mount & Blade: Warband set in 300 B.C., 23 years after the death of Alexander the Great. The mod supports both Single and Multiplayer and requires your Warband version to be at least 1.161+
Updated music add-on fit for any version of Rome at War and nearly all modules you wish to add the music to. To install simply extract the content of the folder (Music and music.txt) in the RaW 2.5 main folder which is located in your modules folder. Typically: .../Mount & Blade Warband/Modules/RaW 2.5/(extract here)
And what is in there?
Might be easier to tell what isn't in there:
- Cookies
- Aliens
- KGB
- Violent squirrels
- King Harlaus' butter stash
- ...
Just kidding of course, I thought a file called music add-on, described as being a music add-on, tagged as music was pretty self explanatory but in case you wonder what it is, it's a music add-on containing tracks made especially for this mod by Theretor, which you can listen to in the mod's moddb page under the video section, plus some opens source tracks by Rejenorst. This music add-on containing music tracks is delivered as a separated download because large music files tend to impact performance for some users and in some extreme cases draw too much from one's system and make the game crash on launch. If you're tired of Native's tracks and you're running Rome at War well enough you should be just fine running the mod with these additional tracks.
If you are wondering which tracks it includes, here's the rough list:
- All of Theretor's tracks that you can find in this page's video section plus a few more
- Following tracks from Rejenorst:
>Siege
>Victoris
>Glory of Rome
>Line Advance
>Highlander's Charge
>Final Battle
>A Land Besieged
Unfortunately his website seems to be down.
no KGB? damn, and to think i was going to download this
That's only because you don't listen to KGB, KGB listens to you.

Well thank you for you smartass answer
I wanted to know if it is roman or at least ancient mediterranean music
Becasue why would I download 500MB only to find music ripped off from other games or Rick Astley in siege battles
I allowed myself to be a smart *** not knowing what you really wanted to know but hopefully it has been made clear now right past the nonsense.
You can check Theretor's and Rejenorst's tracks now and decide for yourself if it's worth downloading.
We make a point in using only self made resources or if we can't only opens source ones, no ripping.
So no Rick Astley then?
File size seems a tad large for some music.
well it is fact it will use more space in hdd, but it going to have less compresssion and it should be better for performance
Ah, alright. So I'm guessing that means it's less likely for the game to crash on weak PCs that use this addon.
theorically it should be

The reasoning behind that was to take more space on your HDD but less on your RAM when the game decompresses the music files ingame. The files went from .ogg compression to .wav

Am I the onlyone that experience that the games crashes time to time? Depending on how much battles etc there is the game crash and I got a error report....
Irritating because this mod is awesome! Pls help
If you're posting here I assume you're using the add-on and if you crash it's most likely because your computer ran out of memory, try disabling the music add-on as it is more memory demanding.
Have removed the music add-on but the game still crash :( Runtime error...
Check for runtime error solutions for Warband as there are some guides to help mitigate or completely fix the problems such as:
