Unofficial Rock 24 Map Fixes file

Unofficial versions of all the Rock 24 maps, with the goal of fixing the most glaring issues in them. This should make the mod playable from beginning to end without cheats.

Instructions

1. Install the base Rock 24 mod
2. Install the Source SDK 2013 patch
3. Copy and paste these files into the Rock 24 folder.

  • All maps recompiled to support HDR lighting
  • All maps give the correct weapons on map load now
  • Added the latest "scripts/vehicles/apc_npc.txt" file from HL2, so APCs have front wheels and drives properly now.

  • No changes
• d1_wakeupcall_02
  • Stopped props from constantly flickering
  • Fixed cell powerbox puzzle
  • Improved NPC pathing on the destructible bridges
  • Made it less likely for the bathroom cop to see the player before they open the doors. This is to make the scripted sequence more likely to play out
• d2_breakout_03
  • Made the barnacle ignore the poison zombie
    • (if a barnacle tries to eat a poison zombie, the game crashes)
  • Fixed the transition to the next level carrying over inappropriate props
• d2_surfacing_04
  • Prevent back tracking to the previous level
    • Doing so breaks the scripts
  • Cop should be much less likely to see you and freak out
  • Richard should no longer get stuck in place after assassinating the cop

  • Redid the APC crash to stop the crashes and ensure it works.
