Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.

Why would they get -another- overhaul? ROTR is not based on reality.

Let's say that it's 'based' on reality, but certainly not anchored in it.
And besides, it's not like the thing would add anything to the faction, unless you introduced some sort of modular vehicle system, where you can swap out your MBT for a Heavy IFV and back, but that sounds more like something you'd stick with the two western factions.

Also, if we were to stay within the fluff, the Armata project already ended up not being overly effective, if I remember some of the Sentinel's, so feh. :P

M8, 1.85 got released a month ago with more than 2 years of delay just to overhaul the outdated Russian faction unit and building models and everything else. Now you want overhaul Russia AGAIN just for the sake of Armata ??? What's wrong with you xD ??

Armata is failed and rejected in ROTR lore :) Russia in ROTR have another, more conservative way of own armed forces.

Here, it is more like overhauls that the Hunter didn't have time to insert in 1.85 yet, so He does insert them in the patch, it is not a new overhaul...

Description

The change is purely visual but we found it a nice idea to combine the familiar chassis of the Msta with a new, more massive looking turret so that the vehicle becomes more distinct and menacing in its upgraded form.
