Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.

The idea is funny, but I don't know if you can have this line played only when the upgrade is purchased :)

Doesn't the GLA Worker stop saying "Can I have some shoes?" once the shoes upgrade is purchased? If so, then whatever method was used to achieve that could potentially be applied here (but in reverse lol).

That's because some details such as the size of the gun have to be exaggerated in this low polygon environment to make everything recognizable and match with existing vehicles and infantry models :)

I just noticed General Orlov's markings in the Grizon. Was that always there?

Description

Introduced in 1974, the BTR-D "Grizon" is a lightweight, airdrop-capable personnel carrier designed specifically for the Soviet Airborne Troops. As such, it saw its first use in combat five years later, during the war in Afghanistan. Offering decent tactical mobility and basic protection for its crew and up to six passengers, it is a thoroughly average if undemanding vehicle that remained in service with Russia and other post-Soviet states well into the 21st century.

During the 2030s, changes in Russia's military doctrine led to the Airborne Troops taking on a dual role of air-deployed assault forces as well as a kind of rapid response "fire brigade" in assistance of the Ground Forces. As a result, Russian infantry can requisition delivery of a Grizon, typically by helicopter, directly to their location and Grizons pre-loaded with infantry can be deployed to Helipads.

Initially unarmed for rapid deployment, it has become a common practice for Russian forces to install ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft autocannons on top of their Grizons throughout the course of a battle, allowing the vehicles to provide fire support for friendly ground troops as well as threaten low-flying aircraft.
