Better than my simple reskined texture crystal props. Moddb.com And I can only imagine what the skyboxes for Coruscant, Tatooine, Yavin, and Kashyyyk will look like.
No they don't. The shader isn't written for that...I think that level of reflectivity would kill most computers anyway, in an RTS game. It reflects only the texture of the skybox.
Well it's still cool as hell. I really really really love your work and i don't really play foc that much anymore, but this i am really looking forward to. Keep up the good work!
Purple, yellow, copper/orange, etc. The crystals shown here aren't the only ones I'm making but I didn't see a huge point in putting in a billion models of basically the same thing but different color. Lol
thanks, just thought you were using something new, cause I didnĀ“t know about that it reflects the colour of skybox (partially because I used that shader in space)... anyway, great job...again...as always!
Ah yes, the shader doesn't reflect the starmaps in space because those ALO models simply use the additive.fx shader and meshgloss.fx or something like that. However, the skybox shader itself could be used in space, which would remedy this problem and allow reflective units in space (which would work great for Naboo units or the Leviathan from KotOR).
Shiny metal means smooth metal...smooth means reflective ;) Of course, artistic license can always be taken and since reflections are based on light...and light works differently in space...who knows?
Great job. EaW deserves survival even after LA and GS closure so Im really happy that lots of epic mods including RotM constantly appearing. Hope new update with all new shiny stuff will be released soon

Yours still look way better than the original game's though... The vanilla crystal props were quite bad, IMO.
One thing Ive always enjoyed about this game is seeing the crystal structures used in lightsabers on Ilum or Polus.
Very nice work, The environments are looking beautiful!
At first I thought that's the skybox from SW Battlefront. It isn't, is it?
No sir. It's composite images taken from the antarctic.
Thanks.
Thank you all!
I couldn't help reading thanks for watching in mattpat's voice (game theory)
So the crystals reflect images of your units?

Any plans for purple crystals, like the one Windu used? Just wondering. These look stunningly beautiful.

Haha :)
I love the skybox, can't wait for the real thing :D
Thanks! I'm really putting a lot of work into making quality skyboxes for all planets. Glad you like it.
what shader do you use for it, if I may ask?
MeshBumpReflectColorize.fx
The amount of reflectivity is controlled through the alpha channel of the normal map. The whiter an area is, the more reflective it is.

Leviathan didn't reflect any background though, that was just shiney metal.

those crystals look so nice I would not mind seeing these on every planet... or in space. lol.
Thanks both!
