Without saying too much and risk detracting from the article, I'll simply give the specifications and mechanics of how this hero will play in-game.
Xhan Mar is a support/tank type unit that excels at combating enemy technology and providing buffs to friendly tech. This includes vehicles and droid units on land, every unit type in space.
Additionally, she will have "stealth" and "hack" abilities, which will render her invisible to enemy units for a time and allow her to convert enemy tech (droids/vehicles), respectively.
She will have passive abilities that increase stats as outlined above and will also provide a minimal health regen to friendly droid and vehicle units.
In Galactic conquest, she will have "system spy" and "stealth", allowing her to move about at her leisure and gather data on enemy fleet movements.
Stoker, her companion, will act as a bodyguard with attacks that are effective against infantry and other organics.

As far as female armor goes, this is pretty good though.
If this was a vod building a real set I would criticise the lack of leg armor, but it works as part of the overall design here, so I'll let it slide.^^
And the glowing circuits are a very cool idea, have you by any chance been inspired by this armor? Beskarschmiede.de

That said, the armor is totally custom and the brain child of the wife. I worked with her a bit to ensure that it retained a Mandalorian feel but the colors, circuitry, lack of leg armor, etc...was all her.
Her logic in not including leg armor is that this character is not a heavy, she's more of an espionage type and less armor offers a flexibility and freedom of movement that is essential for that more sneaky stuff.
Yeah, it works for this character, so it's alright. Costuming rules can't really be applied 1:1 to game models anyway.

It's a girl from our group and even though the armor is somewhat different, I found it quite an amusing similarity.^^
That is indeed a funny coincidence. Does her character has a similar backstory, I wonder?

So will her bodyguard pet be able to attack while Xhan will just hack enemy vehicles but she herself does not have any offensive capabilities ?

The simple answer is yes.
Xhan Mar is the support half, Stoker (the Strill) is the offensive half. Xhan Mar's primary attack consists of "shooting" an invisible projectile that can stun enemy vehicles/droids and causes incremental damage over a short duration while her abilities recharge. She has no gun, so the attack animation is a "hacking" animation that she does with her datapad.
In respect to design I came up with everything: character profile/backstory, armor, having a Strill, and ablilties. Farseer did the 3dsMax and XML stuff to actually bring it to life in the game.

Yeah, the female Mandos surely deserve their credit. I plan to add other Mando ladies as well :)
You know, I thought she looked cool before.
Then I opened the original and saw the Tron lines. Then I was like "she looks awesome".
Which is kind of funny since I've never seen Tron. lol Lines are meant to be circuits for her suit. (see article)
Both Xhan & her canine (I'm assuming it's some type of canine) look incredible.
Stoker is a Strill...so yeah, a space canine. Lol

Very nice. The armor looks mandalorian, and she has a well developed concept/story/role. I think the stealth+hacking+cyber beast is a fine combination and adds something new. I assume the colour is all your wife as well? :P
I was going to complain that black and purple don't exactly go hand in hand with stealth, but then i remembered that in star wars they have stealth tech of various types. Personal stealth field generators etc. So she can wear whatever she likes thank you very much. :D
