Designed to function in places where the massive Y85 Titan is simply too big, the Theta-class dropship was hastily put into production using the same blueprints intended for the Y85, scaled back to hold only a single AT-AT walker, while the full-sized Titan can hold up to four.
It's smaller size means it has sacrificed some other features as well, namely armor plating and heavy shields. It's forward-facing, fixed medium laser cannons provide meager defense and the Theta often requires an escort to arrive safely at it's target. That said, despite being smaller than it's truly gigantic counterpart, the Theta is still quite large, dwarfing all other transport types used by the Remnant and New Republic alike.

I apologize also for not having a release for you by the end of the year as intended. Working solo on this project often means that deadlines get pushed back or items delayed. I know it will be worth it in the end and as stated above, your continued support and critique is essential to making this happen.

Its not even that so much really. Remember that Incom originally made all its starships for the Empire...but sympathizers within the company made arrangements for the Rebels to steal prototype X-wings that were intended to be delivered to an Imperial facility. I doubt that any company made ships directly for the Rebellion, as doing so would amount to "aiding terrorists" or something like that...and likely the Empire would have dealt harshly with that company.

Depends. The Y85 is meant for several types of vehicles but since this one is scaled back, it's really designed more to transport ATAT's specifically... I think that's more what I'm leaning towards. However, there will be some different types of Landing craft available.
For example, in Rogue Squadron, there is one type that carries a crate underneath, which it uses to transport ATSTs and that will be included for some vehicle types.

So, the Imps will have more than two different landing craft? If so, that'll be a neat little touch.
