an idea for an upgrade would be to have them produced in squads. thats how actual war works. each upgrade for the unit in the research tree would also add a unit to the squad. check out dawn of war.
I love DOW, but I am not sure it really works for SC2.
I was thinking that due to them having what seems to be a direct fire weapon, that they might retain late game usefulness against gunships who can't really dodge.
And ability's for things like bomb bouncer mini-shields and such might be nice.
LOL thats what i love about being attacked by strafing units in ta esc. cant really dodge so even the tank they are attacking has a chance. turns out a flamethrower works against gunships.
ideas
turn m' into kamikaze units
make m' super cheap
squadify them
upgrade m' into t2
make m' fly
sc2 had a great way of getting rid of low tech units, by combining all the techs into one tech. thats really the only effective way of getting rid of units you wont really use.
me? the only units i really build are ships and xps.
an effective way i just thought of would be to have a "recycler" structure that would serve as a super fast reclamation deal. you send low tech units into it and you get back the resources you paid for them.
those arent the types of fixes you guys are looking for, your looking to make them effective late in game.
make them cloaked and stealthed. that way only an onmi sensor radar can dedtect them before they attack and they turn visible. that would make them efficient.
I normally just watch this mod's development from the shadows since the start. However, I must say that the feet could use some more attention. Currently it looks very unstable to be used in a live battle.
No longer will my base get swarmed by gunships early on.
The "feet" need more love, otherwise great model.
True, and yes the feet will get there deserved love.
In the contrary, I think they are fine...it's a T1, and also look at that:

i guess it's walking animation is weird-.- reminded me Zone of Enders game and great concept btw
Is the red dot on the left a tracer
yes !
The model is perfect - but it need some foots, like chicken foots. Right now it looks like walking on heels
It is meant to look like that men....It is meant to have legs similar to those on Metal Gear Gekko....
feet need love. the basic design of the legs is badass but they need a tad bit more detail compared to the rest of the unit.
If I may apply some questions from the other unit as well:
How will the unit maintain use in the late game?
What upgrades will be applied to this unit?
Will this unit have any special abilitys?
And again, thanks for your time.

Late game usefulness... no "real" usefulness except cheep cannon fodder like most T1 late game.
T1's don't normally have upgrades or special ability's, but there may be some in the future but none atm.
Well for their cost can they still compete?
In TA basic units could still compete with advanced ones by being faster and cheaper.
In numbers not one on one :p
what about using a rocket as a propulsion system, and have the legs act as turning support like fins to water?

I will be working on the legs more :)
i think you should use the raven legs from mechwarrior or something
Good!I only can say "good!"
