I think to alleviate that problem, the things that appear to hold up the center part of the saucer should be more arch like in architecture, to give a more rounded look. Also, perhaps the vents in the middle could be a more dome like structure (still with the vents, but not so square). Those are the two main things that my eye is drawn to. And by that number down there, you can tell how many people agree with me. (if any)

i thought it was cool how the aeons main focus in design was to hide cold hard mechanics underneath beautiful and smooth armor. it looked like they were the true good guys till you saw all the guns and weaponry sticking out from under the armor.
speaking of reptiles, i think you should try to make a type of turtle experimental for the aeon. like an aeon version of the fatboy. you look at it and think "well that might be a problem but, the guns coming out from under it look like point defense, so we dont have to worry til it gets close." then you see it stop halfway to your base and unfold, revealing the aeon oblivion cannon from the tempest. "well ****..."
Yeah well, I and I'm sure many others, came to this mod because we wanted the old style of Supreme Commander and Total Annihilation with the graphics and new units of SC2. That was the Mod's original intended purpose, and it seems it has deviated from that path. So don't expect everyone to be happy with how it's going now, they came here for a better experience in SC2, not a completely new game.
All the power to the creators though, they can do as they wish. It IS they'r mod.
The overall Muchness is gone. And that about sums it up. It got simplified, dumbed down. Total Annihilation and SupCom were about being big, about being Massive and going farther than any strategy game before them. And SupCom2? Well... Pretty graphics and new units can only get you so far.

ya same here...too cybran. it does look epic as ****, but too cybran. add some plates heres and there. if anyone remembers how the aeon commander looked in the sc1 intro, it looked smooth on the outside but looked very machine and clunky on the inside. i think you could turn this black, put some lights on it like the old aeon structures, then sandwich it between two slices of darkenoid. i think the old darkenoid looked totally badass with moving parts, so you could make it so the darkenoid rings flip out to allow it to cool off when it fires the beam. Call it The Empyrean, after the highest place in heaven. empyrean is also the arm homeworld from TA.

Just a question, for the air units docking in another unit (I'm just assuming that the CZAR will be an aircraft carrier like it was in SC1) are you going to use SC2's system of just teleportation, or physical docking animations like in SC1. Just wondering cause I always found SC2's system of aircraft docking lazy and ruined a lot of potential strategies that physical docking provided. I used to always wait until an enemy was docking their aircraft in SC1 to attack them so I was just wondering if you were going to implement it or not, and possibly the fuel system as well. (Just so you know I'm not actually asking for these to be put into the mod, just asking if you were thinking of doing so or not.)
Oh, and I like the new unit design by the way, I always did find the old CZAR units to be a bit bland. Are you planning on putting on any AA weapons, or are you guys just using the usual giant laser beam?
ya same here...though it seems like its proper for this far into the future. teleports and **** but still, if it can teleport short distances, shouldnt every units main mode of movement be transportation? i dont like the way they docked...i LOVED how it looked when the old cybran aircraft carrier unloaded. thast looked awesome in terms of docking.
even the old czar had aa, in missile and gun form, so this one should be having them too, while i would think it would be massive form of epic if it would have aa turrets on its upper side :p

It needs to be rounded out. the Aeon like to have smooth rounded surfaces. Their war machines are an excellent display of this. They had the most futuristic units out of all the factions. Cybrans had all the extra tech sticking out. The UEF had large bulky units.And the aeon had graceful, elegant units mastering true beauty in a time of war. So this CZAR needs some tuning up.
you would most expect some big beefy guy to represent the uef. like the t5 artillery. big, badass, id say get the **** out the way but...you dont need to move, i can run you over, no matter how big you are...

I completely agree, the mod is called Revamp, and it's time we revamped the flying saucer to even more epic. xD

mmmmh not necesarily. i did like the darkenoid but like every supcom fan, the experimentals were far weaker than they looked.
Mabey have it look like the CZAR is collecting some exotic inorder to fire it through its main weapon.

I'm with everyone else on this. There are quite a few Cybran bits in there. It looks nice overall, but there is too much Cybran and not enough Aeon.
On another note, the outer ring reminds me of a stargate. XD

Yes, something many have seemed to forgotten. No matter though. You can always just keep the Vanilla mod, it's straight up awesome and Lore friendly.
I think it's goona looks less Cybran when textured.
