Return of Shadow Beta 0.3 Faction Showcase
Rohan

Following on from Isengard it's now Rohan's turn in the spot light as I work through the factions and update them.

Riddermark

Rohan has been more or less the most stable faction in the mod and has required the least amount of attention until now but with recent changes to the mod it was time for Rohan to get an update.
It's time for an update after all it's 2016 people.

The first change is the implementation of a Specialisation system similar to Fiefdoms and Mordor's.
Rohan's is the Mark system centred around the 3 Marks of the Riddermark and their Marshals.

The First Mark is led by the First Marshal who is also the King.
Theoden King now requires a spell unlock "Herugrim" which is a new spell replacing Harvest Time.
Royal Guards and Door Wardens are also locked behind that spell.

Theoden gains a new attack skill at level 3 "Mighty Herugrim" this skill deals melee damage to a target and grants a brief attack boost to nearby allies it has a pretty quick duration and cool down.

Another change is Guthlaf is now summoned along side the Royal Guard when Theoden hits level 10 (this has also been fixed to actually summon now).
Guthlaf is a handy support hero.

The Westfold Hall has also been removed more on that below.
Replacing the Lord of the Westfold Faction Upgrade is the Hasty Defence Faction Upgrade which will sound familiar to older ROS players this will upgrade Farms to be defended by Peasants as well as improving the defences of the Farms.

East-Mark

East-Mark also known as the Second Mark led by Elfhelm (temporarily during the War of the Ring) covers the eastern lands of Rohan such as the Wold and Eastfold.
Elfhelm is the "captain" of the Mark and has been improved to fit that position.
He now starts out with Mount and at level 8 he gains a new skill East-Mark Muster.
East-Mark Muster allows Elfhelm to temporarily allow Eastfold Lancers to be built from Farms (these are also effected by Muster).

A new hero Horn also represents the East-Mark.
Eastfold Yeomen and Lancers are now locked behind this new Upgrade.

East-Mark also adds 2 new units to Rohan first is the Heavy Cavalry unit the Wold Chargers and the second is the Wold Sparthmen an axemen unit.

West-Mark

West-Mark also known as the Third-Mark is led by Erkenbrand which includes the western regions such as Adorn and the Westfold with its base at Helm's Deep.
The first change is the removal of the Lord of the Westfold Faction Upgrade.

Erkenbrand leads the West-Mark and has also gained a new skill.
West-Mark Muster similar to the East-Mark Muster but instead recruits Westfold Riders from Farms.

Grimbold is his second in command.

The Westfold Hall has been removed and the Westfold units are now built from the Rohan Hall.
These are the Westfold Spearmen and Shieldbearers.

The Westfold Riders are now built from the Stables.

Additionally West-Mark grants a new unit the Adorn Huntsmen a ranged cavalry unit that uses Jarids (it's like a short Javelin).

Once again, Great job! I hope that once players choose their marks, they will not be able to change it back somehow. Could you make the marks differ much more? Increase stats change more? I mean an improved stat from 10-20% kinda doesnt make players feel the differences of specs. Also would it be possible for each marks to have their own unique structure visuals? not that much, just a small change on for example their farms. In my mind when I'll choose the westfold mark, I wanna feel the difference from both visuals and model looks and game play. I'm just saying.... you're the boss and please never give up on us fans. cheers!
