Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
The start of this epic (but sad) battle...
Deploying my troops... LAAT get delivered by these AWESOME looking Acclamators
Looks a little small no??
Is Acclamator too small able to do more?
eh Acclamators aren't that big anyway
no
Yes, they are small, but it is a game, there is no way you can fit a full sized acclamator in a city. and to be honest, i would rather have one of these deliver the troops than an LAAT. xD
I'd actually prefer the opposite, an LAAT dropping off a squad of troops seems more logical than an Acclamator dropping off a squad..
well that is a common mistake a Larty cannot go from space to ground... it is a Low Altitude Assault Transport... not a High-Altitude Entry Transport-221
LAAT/is have been shown in TCW to drop off troops from space and through the atmosphere.
But then logic dictates: have a HA-ET drop em off...
Simple!
He said it was dropping of the LAATs
its a acclamator transport, not the ship itself
ya... it looks small....
What looks small?
The Acclamator is a bit too small. I think this is the smaller troop transport version though (also the actual infantry are really small in comparison so it's probably properly scaled).
He's zoomed out. It's the correct size, trust me. :)
so it begins
If it would be correctly sized, it would fill out the screen 2 times... that would suck....
That's right: you could check the actual Acclamator size having a skirmish on Honoghr, in vanilla FOC.
hey are acclamators any good in combat this time around? :p
Acclamators are so awesome but yeah, they really sucked in vanilla!! xD Though, I still mass produced them just for sheer nostalgia lol... good times...
Not complainin...just sayin...
just like the movies or was it battlefront2? HMM
Can't the LAAT just come in by space instead of being delivered by an Acclimator?
Does the original dropsships for The Rebellion and The Empire have the correct size? Don't think so :)
I'm pretty sure thats the Correct Size, seeing how the Sidewalks are Tiny compared to the ship.
Besides in the Original clone wars series, thats how big they were when they were in space or land. :D
If it was the right size a SPHA-T should just fit in one of those tiled squares on the landing platform
