Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

B.S. those droidekas are worth about 1 1/2 squads if shielded, and the tanks are overkill :P
real droidekas are invincible to everything short of an orbital bombardment
if you manage to sneak up on a droideka you can move right through their sheild and shoot them.

Wow looks like somebody never watched Episode I, II, III, and both TV series. In Episode I shielded droidikas were destroyed by an N1's laser cannons. Episode II droidika's were taken out by the beam gun turrets on the LAAT's. And you can clearly see many other ways to take out droidika's in either the old or new TV series. Methods such as grenades, rocket launchers, force push, and even large falling objects can destroy droidika's quite effectively.

arc troopers are better than commandos.
I agree with Tonarion, a few ARC squads would be massacred, and people underestimate Droidekas, remember, just a couple of them made Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan run away, thats it, there are 6 here, with tank and heavy weapon support as well as a clanker shield... so yeah unless the commander is mental he should win.
