Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

The low-res blasters are really for the sake of frame-rate. They're so small, it's just not worth the effort to make better ones (after all, how often is the camera THAT close-up).
Not to mention, any more detail means more lag during gameplay, and even with high-end computers, RaW (and most FoC mods) already has enough of that (as of 1.1, anyway).
Well making the detail higher without changing resolution, even though that is quite a task, won't change much in frame rate but if you change it to lets say 512x512 you'd have some trouble.

It's not hard to beat stock SWBF2 no, but modded... now that's another story. (I'm a big SWBF2 modder)

Awesome! :D but a question: in the last RAW version, the elite legions where good because the enemy can be easily overwhelmed, but alone, the squadrons are quite normal, principally the 501 that is supposed to kick a entire army and is just big. this was fixed?

If you're talking about Bacara, the one from ROTS, he is the comander of another legion.

Does anyone know if i can somehow get other legions into my skirmish games, like these clones? It's a shame you can only get those in GC... Maybe it is possible to edit the XML file, i dunno... :)
