A fan for Real life Military equipment ? then this is your mod ! it is a Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge mod that basically imports a lot of RL military hardware from the cold war era in the 60's to the late 2000's while maintaining a lot RA2 aspects like prism, tesla tech and etc. Also, It expands on the original RA2 armor system thanks to ARES in which it creates more roles to create numerous units effectively expanding the complexity of handling an army making it necessary to use mixed arms to counter the various unit types. Also, do note that each country will have some twists in their military equipment that will be more or less similar to their respective RL counterparts. In short: it is a relative to reality fun mod but "a fun mod" is conservative statement.

Description

Hello lads, a further continuation of the Soviet side specific unit. I want you all to meet the Venezuelan MFV-91 (Military Fighting Vehicle 91) Conquistadora heavy siege tank.

It was made to be a interim solution of the T-80UK, but unlike the Mastodon whose armor allows it to go toe to toe with any system advanced or not. The Conquistadora is made to be a medium tank with "heavier" armor whilst giving it the firepower of the standard heavy tank and a self-propelled rocket artillery vehicle.

Although she is not armored enough for a penetrating breakthrough defense operation, she can bombard a wide area and saturate its defenses from a safe distance, though more than one should be used since the rockets are not accurate. Its is worth to note the MFV91 can also slowdown large hordes of infantry by severely pining them down lowering their speed and firepower, that said it is best to keep other supporting elements to finish the job as she is not likely to kill them right away.

Speaking of supporting elements, it is also best to keep another MBT or 2 near the MFV91, although she can hold her own but can be overwhelmed in large tank battle as it lacks the rate of fire of more conventional tanks, but if the commander use her correctly the MFV can land the killing blow to tanks similar to her caliber.

Lastly, it worth to note that because of exposed engine on its back and the ammo compartment in the middle behind the turret just beneath the rocket launcher, it is a more susceptible to air attacks.
