A fan for Real life Military equipment ? then this is your mod ! it is a Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge mod that basically imports a lot of RL military hardware from the cold war era in the 60's to the late 2000's while maintaining a lot RA2 aspects like prism, tesla tech and etc. Also, It expands on the original RA2 armor system thanks to ARES in which it creates more roles to create numerous units effectively expanding the complexity of handling an army making it necessary to use mixed arms to counter the various unit types. Also, do note that each country will have some twists in their military equipment that will be more or less similar to their respective RL counterparts. In short: it is a relative to reality fun mod but "a fun mod" is conservative statement.

Description

The heavy weapon teams are now included in Red-Counter Strike. Available to the infantry branch exclusively when playing the Branches game mod.

- GI and RI HMG teams, pretty much straight forward; 2 regular infantry carrying their machine pistols doubling their firepower while mobile, they also have twice the Hotpoints compared to single normal infantry. When deployed they get to install and use their heavy machine gun, the .50 cal rounds are especially effective against infantry. You can also garrison them inside structure for maximum effectiveness.

- RI and GI ATGM Teams; similar in nature while mobile to the HMG teams, although when deployed they can uses their Anti-Tank Guided Missile Launcher, they can punch through the thickest enemy armored targets making them a very effective anti-vehicle/tank infantry team. You can also garrison them inside structures to bolster their defensive effectiveness but you will lose a little bit of weapon range.

Both heavy weapons teams are made to be defensive in mind fitting the infantry branch playstyle, so expect them to be slow while moving along the battlefield. A transport is always welcomed to get these boys from one point to another.
