The Grunts replace the Fanatic originally as the Sub-Faction equivalent of Zealots for the Chaos Cell. Fitting a more mutant theme with the Brute and newer graphics. In thanks to Quiet for new graphics for them.
Grunts are Brutes that form a portion of the Chaos Cell's soldiers who eschew using their large meaty fists and instead use a torn-off Gatling Cannon for combat. Much like the Brute the Grunt is able to shrug off most enemy fire and being a mutant benefits from certain effects of tiberium in the battlefield.
