Another awesome unit, One complaint is the flag gets covered up in the upgrade. Otherwise its stellar!
I agree: the flag should at least be painted on the armor plate.
What about centering the flag on both sides of the slender part of the barrel ?

Do you mean painting the flag, or draping one over the barrel?
Well I would've leaned more towards a decal(s) as a *hanging* flag might look strange, otherwise proly a better idea might be to slap a decal on the plate that covers the front track (just ahead of the lights).

I love how the Confederate's heroic upgrades look like they were hastily thrown together on the field. It fits really well with their lore and makes a nice contrast with the more streamlined heroic upgrades of the other factions.
Those are actually the Global Upgrades for the Confederates, something unique to the faction that they patch on for free over a long time- the heroic upgrade is a Machine Gun.
