For the past couple months I have skirted around the idea of making my own mod. I had alot of ideas, but little experience.

Then, one day while browsing my favorite mods, i found a blog post by Infinity Relams on the Apocalypse Minimod of Red Alert 3: Paradox. I found out that the entire reason they started the Minimod was to get more experience with the engine and strealine their work ethic, and judging by their screenshots, it worked amazingly well.

That got me thinking, that's exactly what I need, a smaller project that will let me better understand the Source engine and leading a team in general. It just so happened that I had just recently came up with a project that fit the bill, a Source version of the original Half-Life's demo, Half-Life: Uplink.

Ironically, this had actually been attempted before, but fell through TWICE!! One modder stopped work on his version becuase the other modders Version was closer to completion, but in a cruel twist of fate, that Version died as well.

So undertaking this project will not only give me the experience I need, but also provide a Source version of Uplink for the community here at Moddb. To start off, this project, currently codenamed "Containment Failure" after the opening text in Uplink, has severall goals...

Recreate, Improve, and Expand all four maps of the Original Demo.
Utilize Cinemtice Physics to beautifully render scenes of destruction.
Gain Permission from The_Mighty_Atom to use extra content from His Goldsource Remake, Uplink: Extended
Bring Classic Enemies like the Human Grunt's, and Classic Weapons like the Glock-17 to life in the Source Engine.
And More...

Only problem is, I don't have a team. If you see this and our interested, contact me. Mappers, Coders, Texturer's, Modler's, Animator's, you have the skill, we need it.
