Wars of the Firstborn is a modification based on the discontinued Ridder Clan Mod for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II and for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II - The Rise of the Witch-King expansion, which focuses on bringing to life as much of the Elven world from Tolkien’s epic as possible.

I know that Erebor ones were around 1700,these look like 3700 polys, only because of those shoulders and helmet

Actually they are 1800 polies.

Wooow!Do they have normal maps? If they don't you should add them. Anyway you could make new hands and widen up the feet. Everything else is looking good

Actually the model in the picture has 1444 polyes(without the head I mean) and it was based on the Erebor one who was also low poly. They don't have normal maps and I see no reason to add them, they already look good.

Yes. He doesn't have hands. He's got stumps. And as Nazgúl's saying below... the feet are a little on the small side. :P

But they have actual fingers. What does a BfMe unit need those for? Just to annoy the cpu? ;)

A BFME unit needs them so I can zoom in close and not be annoyed.

Sure if you don't mind slideshows with 10 fps, why not. I myself prefer a smooth framerate. ^^

Love your work NewErr, your textures are always top notch, but never really grasped why you seem to always keep hand and feet so small :p

This is pretty damn gorgeous. Very well done! I especially like all the little details in the golden decoration, or stuff like the little ear holes.

Mathis has a point though that the feet and fists could use a little more volume. And maybe some more leather creases on the belt would add some depth to it.

How big is the texture on it? Must be 1024 right?

NewErr Author
NewErr - - 826 comments

Hehe, I remember you! (Valaquenta10 here)

Yes, all textures are 1024 but if we scale them down to 512 it won't be any difference.

Jeeez, I will make the hands and legs bigger...

Nice - wait what? "all textures"? So the armor uses multiple textures then. That explains the details. ^^

Reply Good karma Bad karma+1 vote
NewErr Author
NewErr - - 826 comments

Yes, usually there are 2x1024 textures on each model. I separate the body from the other assets (such as helmets, shoulderpads and weapons)

Also All textures was reffering to All models I have done. :D
