Republic Assault is a full scale conversion mod for the Petroglyphy game Star Wars Forces of Corruption. Using elements from both the current canon, and existing EU to create the best possible game experience.
Decided to whip this guy up.
The shield was originally built in about 20 minutes for use in the weapon rack map prop. However, when I remembered Mass Effect 3's Guardian enemy, I realized I had a nice animation set just sitting on my hard drive. While not perfect, it's sure is better than nothing.
In game, the blast shield unit will feature a special armor type. A mass driver blast from an AAT with still blast him sky high, but the trooper will be able to take more a large beating from the average infantry unit.

Will they act like droideka shields?
No.
Like I said in the description, they'll have a special armor type. Allowing them to take more infantry blaster fire, but still getting blastes by a tank.

Some of them are left handed. Jjst carefully watch the movies'and TCW tv show
They're usually right hand, but some used their left hand with the shield.

I just want to say that this is the most promising mods that I have seen. I can't wait to experience all of this glory. Keep up the amazing work!
