Republic Assault is a full scale conversion mod for the Petroglyphy game Star Wars Forces of Corruption. Using elements from both the current canon, and existing EU to create the best possible game experience.
Whipped up a 501st AT-RT texture, and rendered it in Iray. The AT-RT will be used as a fast anti infantry vehicle. I'm also toying with the idea of an ion shot (BF 2017), or mortar cannon (BF 2005) toggle ability.
As for more general mod information, I've decided to discontinue support for the CD, and GOG versions of FoC. Currently, it appears that Steam users are the only ones getting new updates, which will continue to create compatibility issues. If you haven't picked up a Steam copy of EaW, it's on sale for about $7 USD.

what if for an ability t get's the sprint perk? so it zoms out really damn quickly
Hmm, it's possible, but I'm not a fan of speed boosts for walkers.
The AT-RT will already have a high base speed (as seen in TCW), but speeders will be fastest.
What kind of pilot will you add ? AT-RT driver or standard clone trooper ?
And i think about "ion shot" since 2017 is "canon"
Drivers will vary. The plan is to build a script similar to Farseer's NR infantry randomizer, but use it to randomize between ARF, and AT-RT driver helmets.
I feel that the ion shot would be more balanced, but that is just my opinion.
Bit late, but both ion shot as well as the mortar seemed to be concessions to gameplay. From a realism/immersion standpoint, there is only the one blaster cannon.
Because of that I wouldn't count either as canon.
I'd say a temporary boost to firing speed or damage or something like the AT-STs vanilla ability would make more sense.
Maybe at most a different firing mode for the blaster cannon that has a slower rate of fire but more damage to combat vehicles. That could still be explained as an overcharge of the main weapon.
