Game crashes almost always during a land battle

Details would be nice. This could be a multitude of things with what you've told.

Were you attacking anything?

I had an issue with the Heavy Battle droids as their projectiles were wrong so when you get targeted by them, or target them, you'd crash. This is really the only issue I know of with land combat anyways.

Which ones are the heavy ones? If they are they blue ones yes, I am attacking most of the time. One other thing, the ai will attack my space fleets but they've never attacked the ground except for raids

The heavy ones have a gun on their shoulders. As for the AI, I've never had that issue.

From what you've stated, I can only assume that install didn't go right.

EDIT: Though I am stating all this from experience with 0.8.

Difficulty shouldn't play an issue. That would be more lua script based.

From what you've stated, I can only assume your getting an exception which would be a error in the XML logic.

i get this when i start up the game see_logfile.txt and _except.txt how do i fix it am really not good at moding

im having the same problem, my game seems to crash after a minute after the loading screen pops up, i have uninstalled the game from steam and have not played or downloaded RotR,Alliance or any form of those mods that have a installer like RaW. any suggestions?

Steam isn't exactly my area of expertise. But something had to have been modified, as those kinds of errors don't come out of nowhere.
