This is the Wolfenstein SS guy from Doom 2, but perfected! This mod makes him into a 3D model (I will get info on who made it, but it's hard to find now). He uses sounds from the PSX Sound Caulking mod by Jaxxoon R, casts a shadow ala Brutal Doom (SgtMarkIV) and makes footstep sounds ala Beautiful Doom (made by TheZombieKiller). He also drops the MP40 from Brutal Doom! You can pick it up and blast away. The ricochet sound is taken from Beautiful Doom, though, because the Brutal Doom one is good, it's just not as perfect. I also threw in some hires Doom 64 pickup sprites for the ammo made by Pimpuigi and Hellbound Hillbilly, and attached to them are pickup sounds made by The Kins. This is one of my most sophisticated Doom mods to date, and a must-have if you like the Wolfenstein SS guy!

Description

The best Wolfenstein SS and MP40 for Doom! Many details from many mods have been combined to create this, but it may still get better. Stay tuned.

Now we are talking. Great mod.

The manual reload doesn't work though. Can you fix that?

Thanks! Glad you like it. I actually intentionally left out the manual reload. There are certain things I avoid in the name of keeping it "Doom". I mean, you still do reload, it's just not on you to press a button. On the other hand, I could perhaps make an alternate version that includes it. Let's see what I can do.

I don't think there are many people who like reload at all. Let alone forced reload (with a minimod like this you can expect people to use the other weapon on default/no reload) So my advice is to either remove the reload, or make it a key. I'd prefer the latter.

It could be a bit. Work and other mods, etc. are eating up my time, but it would be a valuable thing to learn. I do find it odd what you're telling me about people's preferences. It seems like everybody loves the Super Shotgun.

The reloading of the SSG is more like a firerate circle rather than a forced reload. Not any different to the pump shotgun, just with higher delay between shots.
