IqeBrowser is a program to browse IQE, IQM (Inter-Quake Model format) and many other 3D models. Any 3D model can be saved as IQM (a binary format) or IQE (a text format) file. Some model processing tools are integrated to resize, shift, rotate, reskin ... the model and also to create/ modify skeletons or animations. IqeBrowser is ready to use for a windows system. Source is included. Highlights of the V2.17 is support for minecraft look alike models. Minecraft block models can be loaded and modified (or block models can be created from scratch) before saving them as .iqe models.
The updates of IqeBrowser V2.18 are:
Tools/Mesh/UVAltlas
- Replaced the checkbox 'Draw UVAtlas' by a radio buttons. The mesh can now be drawn in one off the colors white, black, red, green or blue.
- Highlight mesh triangles generated by a joint selected in 'Skeleton/Model creator cuboid' window.
File/Export/Q3-Player
- Added additional settings for footsteps and gender.
- Added settings 'FileType' to the animation.cfg
On the GUI the file type can be selected as:
Quake 3 standard
This creates a standard Quake 3 animation.cfg file.
Export more animations
Additional animations are addable to the animation.cfg file. This additional animations start with 'TORSO_' or 'LEGS_'. The animation names are added to the animation list so that the target application can distinguish the animations.
Tools/Skeleton/Files + utils
- The path to the shown files is displayed above the file list.
==> Give the user a hint as to where the files displayed are located.
Minor bug fixes and improvements
- Bugfix, apply texture indent for cuboid faces with a joint.
- Reading/writing cuboid models from/to file.
Missing face data reading/writing was added.
- Tools/Display/Additions/Floor
* If the checkbox 'Show Floor' is enabled draw the floor as line in side views.
The floor was until now only visible in top/bottom views or 3D views.
* Floor textures are now have always the clamp setting 'GL_REPEAT'. Before, the setting from 'Tools/Display/Textures' 'clamp mode' was used.
==> Always use the repeated clamp mode for floor textures.
