I'm not going to claim this mod is particularly good, nor that it fixes any of Quake 4's weakpoints, nor is it likely to be compatible with other mods. What it does do is tweak the weapons and such so that the game isn't a total annoyance. Apparently nobody ever did this, so on a playthrough a long time ago, I whipped up some changes in an hour, and managed to not go totally insane playing the game this way. Uploading because someone somewhere asked for it. *shrug*

You'll still need to use godmode for the awful vehicle segments. Otherwise, it should be tolerable enough to play through the vanilla campaign with this.

Player:
- Always fast, think proper Quake.

Pistol:
- Charges faster, shoots faster, and such.

MG:
- Zooming is worthwhile.

Shotgun:
- Single-shot and stupidly powerful.

Grenade Launcher:
- Infinite magazine.
- Less damage.

Rocket Launcher:
- More or less mostly vanilla, just a bit speedier.

Railgun:
- Larger magazine size.

Hyperblaster:
- Enormous magazine.

Lightning gun:
- Infinite magazine.
- Less damage.

Nailgun:
- High damage single shot, until you get the upgrade, then it whips out 6 nails at a time.

DMG:
- Forgot what I did to it, but I did something (hey, look, it's been awhile since I used this pk4).

Uhh, I did some other stuff, but given that I have no intention of replying or maintaining this, and it's just a bunch of DEF files... that's all for the description!

No installation instructions? The download literally just gives you a PK4 with no indication of where the hell it's supposed to go.
