Updated to the latest version, and my old save files from 1.26.6 were being rejected. Any way to convert or otherwise use old saves in the new version?

Hi,
please help, I can't get it working: I get the error message "Couln't load maps/base1.bsp" as soon as I try to start a new game.

I just extracted the files and started quake2xp.exe

I have an old graphic card installed (Radeon HD 5850), but that doens't seem to do anything with the error message.
I would be glad about a fast response.

You need the map files and textures from the full release of quake2, or you don't have them in the right directory structure.
