here is the porting directly from the nintendo switch version, some content had to be made compatible with the 2007-2008 build of the PC, some content had to be made from scratch since the switch version use different way to integrate sprite graphic in the game. Tools i used (nintendo switch rom extractor + unreal engine extractor + sir ninja RotP port and the base game as a reference to create from scratch the missing xml files)

spell pass:
spells cost less mana to cast, are much easier to research, and the extra cost of the researched spells is refunded after the spell is cast.
there are new spells, spells that boost a skill give also an extra effect, spells that reduce mana may now also damage the opponent, replenish caster mana or health.
most spells have now a cooldown, to promote variety in spellcasting, the disabling spells like stun and blind can no longer perma lock the opponent
items are cheaper to buy, and the payout for owning cities has been boosted
encounters dissipate quicker, unless a quest is preventing that
mounts are now equally distributed among skills, and every 1 of their levels boosts the linked skill by 1
monsters cast spells more often and in a smarter way, some of them know extra spells
professions start with 70 skill points, raise every skill spending only 1 skill point, have a revised spellbook
it is possible to istantly level up to 50, to try the full spellbook of a profession, by selecting a quest (briefly available only at the start of the game, when no other quest has been taken yet)
at the moment 5 professions out of 14 are fully playable, from start to finish.
