here is the porting directly from the nintendo switch version, some content had to be made compatible with the 2007-2008 build of the PC, some content had to be made from scratch since the switch version use different way to integrate sprite graphic in the game. Tools i used (nintendo switch rom extractor + unreal engine extractor + sir ninja RotP port and the base game as a reference to create from scratch the missing xml files)

This is amazing work!
Thank you for exacting justice towards the ever beleaguered PQ fans!
i am glad that you appreciate it.
if you find a bug (like a spell that crashes the game, or an item that doesn't work) feel free to report it here, and i will see if i can fix it.
Any classes you need tested? I have a monk and bloodmage (the most interesting classes of the latest expansion IMO) but I only recently started.
nothing in particular, just play the class you wish and if you find a bug due to item or spell, report the item or spell and i will try to fix it.
Gotcha, I'll let you know if I find anything.
Monk skills aren't crashing the game, so I'm assuming I applied the patches correctly. Left a review by the way.
When I'm fighting against storm giants, any time they activate their items that destroy a column of gems, the game crashes.
Just to clarify, I extracted all the stuff into the patches folder, then I extracted all 6 of the patches to the game folder in order (challenge of the warlords raw, then fix, then the same with plague lords and golem lords), and said yes to any file replacements. That's how it's intended to be done, right? Also, I'm playing on Windows 7.
EDIT: I realized that the folders don't need to be extracted and can just be kept in the patches folder as they are, but re installing the game and keeping the patches in there without extracting didn't fix the storm giant problem.
Luckily the .xml files are easy to edit so I can set storm giants to only have 1 hp while I wait for a proper fix :)
^^
fixed, if you find some other bug... let me know !

Hello dremor8484.
I haven't played this game since the DS so I'm a bit behind on the details. If I buy the PC version, I see a "Revenge of the Plague Lord" expansion file in the steam discussion. I also know that this mod is supposed to mirror the switch only version of the game that added more content/classes. So in short, my question is: Is this compatible with the Revenge of Plague Lord Expansion and/or does it already have the content of that expansion? (That said it looks like you might be the person who responded in that chat about the frost giant fix so maybe that is confirmation it works?) Regardless, hoping to give this mod a try, since I really do miss this game. Please let me know at your earliest convenience.
EDIT: nvm I see after looking over the content of the mod folder that it does. Thanks for making this.
Are bronze golems supposed to have 100% resistance to all colors? Seems odd given their only spell is a one turn resistance buff to a random color also makes them impossible for anyone not doing big skull damage.
i did not change anything...
people that played the switch version complained about golems being too overpowered.
if you want you can study my wood golem and scarecrow golem nerf to learn how to nerf this bronze golem: you can lower its resistance and/or lower its hitpoints...
Thanks for the mod dude It works great :) I have a question though; I've been trying to change the portraits of some classes and NPC's. For the former, the changed ones do appear, but in the latter case the portraits are just blank. It's not that big of a deal, but do you have an idea on what could be the problem?
So I tried replacing some other portraits. The monk ones appeared while the ones I replaced in the paladin's did not. I replaced the ones in the "raw" zip with 512x512 sized pics while in the "fix" zip I replaced them with 256 x 256 ones. I'm not really sure If I'm doing it right X)
any file in raw is UNTOUCHED and may be incompatible with the pc version. sometimes due to higher resolution.
any file inside fix is a modded version to be compatible with the old pc game engine (the pc engine do not accept all switch files, so here is a modded version of them)
if you want to replace, find something of the correct resolution and format, then place it inside a zip file named zzzzz.zip with folders inside to mimic the same folder structure that you see in raw and fix files
Thanks for the reply. Should the zzzzz.zip go into the patches folder as well?
yes, it is the same thing i did with the mod

Hey dremor8484, First I'd like to say thanks so much for this! This breathes so much more life into the game and is a must have for any PQ PC player!
First bug I've noticed is that during NPC dialogue with the Ghule Knight or Dark Elf there is no Music playing. Is that a bug or was RotP made that way?
